The Idea

During the Winter Quarter of 2019 at DePaul University Group PunchBuggy was formed to bring to life a new mobile application called Wreckless. Wreckless is a gamified driving application that is used concurrently with a mobile device to track and monitor driving behavior. The application serves as a driving tool that provides real-time feedback to the driver on a user interface that is displayed across the windshield using AR technology. Users are awarded points for good driving and penalized when they fail to follow road rules and/or demonstrate poor judgement. Good driving behaviors are incentivized by offering rewards and discounts from participating insurance companies.
